When you are planning an event, the theme is what will really set off your event from all the others.  Experienced planners will use a team approach to creating the ultimate feel and look to the event.  One of my goals is to write a book about using themes.  One of my favorite all time planners is David Tutera.  He has had some fabulous events.  Another one I really like and wish she did a complete show on tablescapes is Sandra Lee with the food channel.  She is very talented.  One theme I hope to try soon is the Tapas- Palooza party for VIP guests for a non profit.  I love tapas and they can be so easy to do and pass around.  Another I hope to have with my friends is the Ultimate Cocktail party.  Remember  Tom Cruise in Cocktail, the movie?  Some hunk..maybe that's what we need is to have really fine looking bartendars putting on a show.  If you have any great theme ideas, send them to me and I will post them.  Happy event planning.
